Cameron joined Swearingen (“SRG”) in 1995 and, in addition to being one of its top producers during his tenure, is involved in the training and development of brokerage personnel and the growth of the company’s client base. His commercial real estate career began in 1985 as a buyer/tenant representative and since then, he has been involved in a wide spectrum of transactions, which include, office, industrial, medical, retail and land requirements in almost every state in the U. S. Cameron has worked with numerous clients, including: Computer Associates International; the law firm of Barrett Daffin Frappier Turner & Engel; Genesis HealthCare; CareerStaff Unlimited, Inc.; Pacific Shore Stones; Redi Carpet, Inc.; and Papa John’s Pizza.
Cameron has extensive experience in long term strategic planning, transaction and portfolio management, lease negotiations and acquisition/disposition consulting. With a reputation for being tenacious, creative and able to bring transactions to a mutually beneficial close, Dallas Morning News did an article profiling his leadership and creativity in the conversion of a vacant furniture store into a “state of the art” two-story corporate HQ facility for a national law firm. Additionally, Cameron’s extensive knowledge of the contract documentation process enables him to help opposing attorneys overcome their differences when documenting complex transactions.
In an effort to remain ahead of the curve in his pursuit to provide innovative and trend-leading real estate solutions, Cameron continues to develop new approaches and analytical tools that help increase the efficiency of his clients’ facility solutions and reduce their occupancy costs. He embraces new technology and plays a leadership role in the design and implementation of SRG’s new business development efforts and the expansion of the portfolio optimization technology used to process and implement client requirements.
Cameron has four children and lives in Southlake, Texas, with his wife, Paula, and son, Ethan. He has provided leadership within the community as a volunteer coach and participated as a member of the board for Southlake Carroll Hockey Association.
