Background & Experience

Becky M. Walters, CPM® (Certified Property Manager) serves Swearingen Realty Group, L.L.C. (SRG) as Senior Vice President in charge of Project Construction Administration Services.  Ms. Walters brings over 20 years of commercial real estate management and construction experience to the firm.  In 1982, she joined SRG and served as senior level property manager/construction manager for several Class A high-rise office buildings.

Throughout her career, she has been responsible for overall facility operations of multiple office buildings in the Dallas/Fort Worth area -- totaling over 2 million square feet of space.  Her construction experience includes interior finish, renovation projects, capital improvements, restack/remodel, ground-up, retail, medical, law firms and schools.  She prepares all lease related construction agreements, negotiates construction contracts, architectural and engineering contracts, construction inspections, approval/processing pay applications, developing working documents, coordinates furniture, audio visual, cabling and prepares punch lists.

Becky has successfully managed extensive exterior granite and re-glazing projects for several high-rise office buildings.  These projects included coordinating daily intensive schedules with the contractors, tenants and litigation specialists involved.  Projects were completed under budget and ahead of schedule resulting in significant dollar savings to the owners of the properties.

Becky's clients have included top real estate companies and corporations such as:  Hudson Advisors, Celanese, Unitrin, Swiss Re, Fannie Mae, Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, US Health Works, OLGE Schools, Baker McKenzie, Odyssey Health Care, Kimberly Clark, CIGNA Insurance, Metropolitan Life Insurance, J.C. Penney, IBM, Microsoft, Dean Witter and Frito Lay.

Becky has been active in numerous professional organizations throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area where she has received many outstanding achievement awards.  Professional affiliations include membership in the Building Owners and Managers and the Institute of Real Estate Managers.

Personal

Becky and her husband, Richard operate a working ranch just south of Dallas, Texas.
