Biography
Background & Experience
Gregory A. McLane joined Swearingen Realty Group, L.L.C. in 1991 with twenty years of experience in real estate management, leasing and development. Greg began his real estate career as a leasing agent for the Trammell Crow Company in Dallas. Four years later, The Williams Companies recruited him to set up the management of the 1.2 million square foot, Yamasaki-designed Bank of Oklahoma Tower. Over the next eight years, Greg directed management, leasing and national corporate real estate functions for The Williams Companies, a $2 billion, Fortune 200 industrial corporation. As Vice President of the corporate real estate group, he handled all of Williams' real estate requirements for office and industrial space across the United States and Canada, with much of the work concentrated in urban centers of the North and Northeast. In addition, he provided appraisals, sold surplus industrial facilities, and assumed responsibility for leasing 1.5 million square feet of prime office space.
Greg then turned to commercial development within Williams Realty Corporation, overseeing the construction, development and leasing of new high-rise offices and mixed-use projects in Tulsa, San Antonio and Kansas City. During this period, he built over $100 million in commercial property representing more than 1 million square feet of high-rise space. After eight successful years with the Williams Corporation, Greg left to form his own investment company. From 1984 to 1987, he concentrated on developing investments for his own account, negotiating leases with Xerox, Chubb Insurance, Travelers and Bank of Oklahoma.
