Matthew Paterson

Matthew joined Swearingen Realty Group, LLC in 2014 as a Market Research Analyst. Working regularly with health care, energy, retail and financial companies, he was responsible for identifying and evaluating available space per the client’s specific needs. He transitioned into the role of a Tenant Advisor and provided clients with advisory and transaction management services. This includes, and is not limited to, assisting corporate office, industrial, medical and retail users with services regarding acquisitions, relocations, expansions and renewals.  He is now a Vice President and is responsible for developing new business relationships, national portfolio management and strategic lease negotiations for national clients.

Matthew specializes in national account management and focuses on working with clients to find cost-effective solutions to their national real estate needs. His knowledge and experience have provided Matthew with the skills, understanding, negotiating strategies, and relationships that are essential to his clients’ success.

• Providing exclusive national tenant representation to ensure smooth, cost-effective and properly managed transactions, while providing his clients with no conflicts of interest.
• He coordinates all aspects of the transaction and consults with real estate managers and upper level management in evaluation and structure of their entire real estate portfolios.
• Adding value to transactions with current market knowledge, negotiating strategies, experience and an extremely strong work ethic.
• Delivering “above and beyond” service to every transaction through personal commitment, due diligence, and professionalism.
• Working closely with Swearingen’s in-house services departments including Market Research, Lease Administration, and the Project/Construction Management.
• TEAM approach with seasoned veterans to ensure below market, well-managed, and successful transactions.

Matthew was born and raised in Dallas, TX.  He graduated from Baylor with a degree in accounting. Matthew enjoys travelling, playing sports, and doing outdoor activities such as bike riding, running, and hiking.
